By Nell Iris For such a short story this packed one heck of a punch. Like, on a scale of 1 to 10 the "feels" here were at a level 20. If Nell Iris can put that much emotion into something that took me not even 20 min to read what can she do with a full length novel? Being as this is my first book by her, I'm going to have to find out. Please, read this book. It's beautiful and heartbreaking and beautiful.....did I mention beautiful? If you cry at emotions
Oke this cracked my heart so hard... I cried ugly tears. What an impressive story this is! Beautiful beautiful written and the deep emotions so tangible. Phoenix lost the love of his life, his angel, Gabriel at a hate crime and all Phoenix wanted was to be dead too. Now exactly five years later on his lovers birthday there is a fire. A bang on his door and neighbors screaming to get out of there, Phoenix has to safe some things, he takes a final look and makes his decision. The way their journey is put down is just breathtaking. Unbelievable full of feelings and occurrences, is this very short read. It had everything in it of importance. The yearning, the hurt, the considerations, the grieve, the love, it was all there... prominent. The deep love the man had for each other, their hope and faith for the future together, they deserved it so hard! Wonderful must read. Recommended!
