This is a short (not quite 6K words) funny story, perfect if you have half an hour to kill and need to laugh. I giggled my way through it and the smile lingered on my face long after I'd finished it. The story is just the start of something, but it leaves me with hope for a bright future for Raymond and Kevin. Especially since Raymond seems to take his friend's advice to heart "Find someone who wants the real you. In fact, take him to The Blue Line, and if he asks for a second date after watching you try to eat an order of 'Tripping Teriyaki' chicken wings with a damned fork and knife, you'll know you've got a keeper." Excellent advice. Excellent book!
This short story was exactly as the author’s note said. A fun and humorous meet-cute of two regular guys. Although regular? I wouldn’t say that precisely. On the surface, Kevin is just like that, but Raymond? He is an adorable quirky guy with some hot kinkiness. And don’t forget their mutual pets, Pandy and Corky, who steal the show. I was grinning all the time at their witty banter and funny antics. The story ends before you know it, but with a very promising glimpse into the future. I am imagining all kinds of hilarious situations before they find their happily ever after. This is the perfect story to read on a rainy afternoon. I guarantee it will put a smile on your face.
