What a delightful story this is. Sweet, lovely, beautifully written, and full of emotions. We come into the story after Alex and Sammy’s relationship has ended, but I sensed there was something off about their breakup, and I just knew it was a great misunderstanding. I felt the love between them was still very much alive. The way Alex came to Sammy was so heartbreaking I had tears in my eyes. It’s a short story, but this author only needs a few words to set the scene and pull you into a story, and you just can’t stop reading. Her characters are so full of life and so beautifully portrayed you’ll hold them in your heart. Slowly we learn what happened to Sammy, and my heart broke yet again. And sweet, sweet Care Bear can only cuddle his little monkey boy close and finally ask him that all-important question Sammy is now brave enough to answer.
