Under the Felt Mistletoe

Oh. My. GAH! This was the cutest, most adorable, sweetest, romantic, just adorable book. I absolutely loved it! Just darling. Makes me all gushy. And it also shows family is not always blood, but the people in our lives.

Finn is just the cutest. I admire him so much. He had a rough start in life but had amazing people to be there and raise him and help support him. And that’s carried over into his adult life. I love his Grampa too. That man is a hoot. He tells it like it is but is a heart of gold in an old gruff man. And when Grampa brings in Nelson out of the cold, Finn meets someone he’s very interested in getting to know.

Nelson is so sweet and shy. He’s had a rough go himself. Being rejected by bigoted parents, he’s very nervous and shy around people. But Finn gives him a new lease on love. And it’s just so romantic.

Christmas is often called the season of family and miracles, but it should be year round. But if it can’t be, what a better way to start a new beginning than a cold rainy December day wrapped in warmth drinking hot coffee and eating homemade gingerbread cookies. This book is sweet and heartwarming. With characters that a lot of people should look to to be like.
