(It's unfortunate that this was published under the generic cover of the collection, and so it reads as two generic white gals. Yes, I know many Brazilians are white but you know what I mean.) Everything you can think of goes wrong: the weather, the traffic, the rental car, the rest stop, the catering... and lurking behind it all, Gabi's fear that her not-so-accepting parents won't show up.
