A lot of girls had been in to visit my office, my sanctuary. My desk was behind a one-way mirror and being naughty added to the excitement of it all as no one could actually see us, see what we were doing. I didn’t let them know at first, made flirting fun and allowed their exhibitionist side out, but it usually took a while, some even going back out to make sure the mirror definitely was one-way. I had it made. Tonight, the club was packed, and I was hoping the brunette would be initiated.

I sauntered around for a while, making sure they saw me, acknowledging some by a squeeze on their butt or a whisper of something in their ear to keep them interested while I chose who I wanted to spend my time with.

Makes me sound quite obnoxious, but really, I’m not. I’m just choosey, and over the years, I’ve been careful to keep myself clean and well groomed, don’t want any diseases coming my way. “So, who’s your friend?” I asked Sonja.

“Yep.”

“So, you’re like a female rustler? Is there actually a word for what you do?”

“Yeah, I’m a rustler.”

She was quite serious. This might be harder than I thought, but then again, I love a challenge.

She wasn’t much of a talker.

“Melissa,” Sonja called. “Over here.”

She left me leaning up against the bar. I was mortified and now more determined to have her before the night was out. Everyone knew I called the shots with who I did and didn’t allow into my office, so I had to save face.

Eve, one of the waitresses, put a shot of whiskey before me, her smirk clearly indication she heard everything.

“Thanks for the drink,” I said, eyeing the rest of the crowd.

“She’s pretty hot, isn’t she?”

“Who, Melissa? You know her?”

“I met her earlier this afternoon. Sonja borrowed my car to pick her up from the airport.”

“What’s she like?”

“Likes a good time, I heard. She works with cattle; did you know that?”

“Yeah, wouldn’t think so, would you?”

“You would if you had seen how she was dressed when she got off the plane.”

“What do you mean?”

“Tight jeans, cowboy boots, hat, and checked shirt. She brought a whip and some other paraphernalia for her and Sonja to use when they’re alone.”

Now I was more intrigued than ever. I glanced over their way, imagining her naked with just her boots and cowboy hat, some thick rope and the whip adding to an interesting night. They talked together, Melissa saying something in Sonja’s ear that had her laughing, which made her glance over at me.

Smiling, she grabbed Melissa, and they headed for the dance floor, picking up a couple of guys on their way. So maybe she wasn’t gay, but I’ve turned more than one from being straight.

Fuming that they could have been talking about me, I stormed off.

Back in my office, I scanned the monitors. There they were, dancing with the others. She stood out, not only because she was tall and sexy, but there was something special about her, an aloofness the others didn’t have. Or was it just my imagination as she’d bruised my ego?
