Once again we spend time with these six charming men. Jo, always my favorite, loves Daniel and called him 'a jewel amongst men' 'swoon'. Edward's future is uncertain due to his father's demands, much to Ben's dismay. Nathan and Percy are finally happy and at peace after so much drama and scandal in the past. In this tale there's a little less hanky panky and a lot more drama and fear as Jo is under scrutiny by a money hungry lout. This has all six friends banding together to protect his reputation. As usual this author has given us a truly wonderful read, worthy of more than five stars..
I love when an author takes a well established couple (or in this case 4 couples) and gives the readers a slice of life look into their happily ever after. This time there's a shady constable poking around into Daniel and Jo's relationship, not knowing if there is anything there to be of concern. It puts the entire group on edge and they go to measures to divert unwanted attention. However, it's also a great testament to the value of friendship when this group bands together to take down the constable and give freedom back to Daniel and Jo. I loved the side characters of Eustacia (who is far more observant than her brother gives her credit for) and Cribbins who proved his worth as a trusted employee of Ben's household and both are allies to this group. It was a fantastic trip back into the world of Twelve Letters in this story and made me realize how much this group of men have come to mean to me and I look forward to each new story about their adventures and their romantic involvement
