Snowed In: Matt and Jens

I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out how to review this. I’m at a loss, to be honest. I felt often confused while reading this. One of the main characters was trying to help the other overcome something, or help deal with it, and their conversations, to me anyway, felt…forced? I don’t know if that’s the right word. And there were often exclamation points where just a period should have been used. It threw off the conversation more.

Jens was trying to escape in a plane, but the plane had been shot at and was losing fuel rapidly. On top of the fact, he was going snow blind. He found a building in the middle of nowhere with smoke coming out of the top and took a chance on landing. He got there and was taken in by Matt. After 2 days of recovering, Matt seemed in a hurry to get Jens out, but a snowstorm left him stuck. They began talking….somewhat. Matt was very closed off. But little by little, Jens began to find out why Matt was there. He talked to Matt and suggested a way to possibly help him get past it. They spent a lot of time working on it while being stuck. Until the storm was over and people showed up. Then the real truth came out and they had to cover up some of what was really up.

I just don’t even know. I can’t even really describe anymore. I don’t want to put down a book because I didn’t care for it, because some of you may like it. But this was not for me. Maybe the blurb will attract you guys to try it. I’m just stumped.
