Anise lost her leg and her snowboarding career in an accident. Depending more and more on her pain pills she ends up at Miss Baxter’s boarding house, run by a former dominatrix… They couldn’t be more different but Miss Baxter wants the best for Anise and with a little help she finds a way to leave the past behind (no pun intended) and move ahead with a new way of life. I loved this fun but short book. It was such a well written, lovely story that more than held my attention. I didn’t want it to end! The dynamic between the two women is excellent as well. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
