GENRE: Gay Paranormal Mystery Spicy Romance LENGTH: 28,076 words RATING: It wasn't supposed to be REAL! Bigfoot doesn't actually exist. Yetis, shifters, creatures of the night ... none of those exist. Right? Right? There's nothing about perky -- some might even say twinky -- Oliver Hughes that would make a skeptic like Sensational News' (Never Fake! We Swear!) reporter Wilson Banks think otherwise. But while pursuing soundbites for a tabloid story about Bigfoot, Wilson witnesses something he wasn't meant to see.In Wilson's new reality, is there room for love with someone whose dreams are as big as his ... er ... feet? This fun novella has a paranormal twist, a hint of mystery, and a flavorful dollop of romantic comedy. Mix it all together for a satisfying HEA!EXCERPT:Note: may contain sexually explicit scenes of a homoerotic nature.
A copy of this story was provided free in return for an honest review via Goodreads Don't Buy my Love Program. This was just the most adorable love story I've read in a long time. In a single weekend, yes, the two protagonists fall head over heels in "like", but we feel the chemistry between them right from the start. I really enjoyed Wilson's investigation into the Bigfoot sightings and the compassion he feels for those who tell the truth versus the liars. The story moved at just the right pace giving us adequate time to get to know Wilson, his backstory, his current life and work and how he learned his even temperament. Equally I was thrilled to learn about Oliver and the town of Tallwood through Wilson's eyes. Wilson's unique perspective and thought processes including potential newsworthy bylines had me chuckling many times. This is one short story that I'll probably read again just to find the little bits that I'm sure I missed the first go around.
