Damn this story was amazing! It was almost like reading a love letter. It was so poignant and beautiful. Ben had been gone on another ‘mission’. He comes home to find his beautiful English husband asleep on the comfy couch, clutching the first collar Been gave him. With the other evidence around the room, and that, he knew something was up with his husband. Waking him, home to celebrate being home early and the good news he had, he realizes his husband needs him in other ways. Simon needed him to take away his worries and fears. And Ben during all this, is reminded how much he loves this man and how blessed he is that Simon is his. I almost wish I could have Been after this. Or be Simon. Whew. When you start reading this, Ben sees Simon asleep. And he’s sitting by Simon look at him, reflecting on their past and their now and future. And when he’s thinking, it really feels like he’s writing a love letter to Simon. His thoughts are so descriptively beautiful. Each word, each though
Oh! This was lovely! I'm a sucker for an established couple, and the cautious D/s going on between these two is absolutely lovely. I just wish it was 200 pages longer. *sigh* There is a sequel and I've already bought it, but I'll have to see if there's anything else out there.
