When she looked back down, Leda was waiting for her, jaw arched up to catch her lips. They pressed into each other, feeling the soft give of the other’s lips, the quiet rush as Joanne pushed Leda up against the wooden beam.

Joanne grabbed her by the collar of her shirt, desperation kicking in as she forced her tongue against Leda’s closed mouth. Leda gasped, fighting back a smile as Joanne’s tongue slid against hers, sending a stab of heat between her legs. She threaded her hand through Joanne’s hair, pulling her closer, desperate to feel more of her.

It was just a kiss, but it had awoken something feral within Leda -- something vicious and needy and half wild with desire. When Joanne pressed her hips against her, driving her back into the porch beam without a hint of restraint, Leda nearly growled.

Joanne pulled back, a smirk flickering across her lips. Her makeup was slightly smudged and her eyes blown with lust, and -- much to Leda’s delight -- her hair had begun to escape its pristine updo, falling instead in thick black curls around her ear. Leda couldn’t decide whether to pull Joanne back to her or lean back to admire her work.

“I’d hate to say goodnight to you like this,” Joanne whispered, her voice sultry and dark with promise.

Leda ignored the nerves jumping in her stomach. Looking up at Joanne through her eyelashes, she made a choice. “Why don’t I come inside, then?” she said, letting her hand fall from Joanne’s hair to her side, where she traced little patterns into the dress fabric.

Joanne smiled and arched away from her, unlocking and opening the door in one swoop. She gestured for Leda to follow her inside, and Leda complied.

Much like the exterior, the hallway was decorated -- fairy lights hung above the picture frames, and the smell of cinnamon and mulled wine permeated the air. Joanne had been the one to bring the bowl of wine to the party, after all. Leda kicked off her shoes as Joanne led her through to the living room, where a massive pine tree took up one corner. The lights were dim, leaving room for the roaring wood fire in the chimney grate, and wreaths decorated the plain white walls.

Leda took in the soft woollen rug laid over the wooden floorboards, and the way the fire had been built up. She grinned to herself as she realised that this had all been planned.

There was an ache as she felt the separation between her and Joanne, a strange emptiness now that she wasn’t being touched. It only lasted a second longer, however, because before Leda could get comfortable, Joanne had pushed her up against the doorframe.

She pinned her there with her arms, lips attacking her mouth and jaw. “Is this okay?” she whispered as she fumbled with the buttons on Leda’s shirt.

Leda nodded, biting her lip as she felt Joanne’s fingers through the thin cotton. This was better than anything she’d expected.
